With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, the chefs at my workshop and I wanted to re-invent the Valentine heart-shaped sugar cookie. We used a drop cookie recipe, and attempted to shape them ourselves. Results: heartbreaking. Unfortunately these cookies did not live up to our expectations. So we decided to return to the no-fail method of rolling out our sugar cookie dough and using cute and simple heart-shaped cookie cutters(I suggest you do the same!).  And let’s not forget the fun and colorful icings and sprinkles we used to decorate!
